South London Export Club exists to support those who do business internationally or who are thinking of doing so.
Bryan Terherne, the club chairman, is a seasoned overseas trader of many years standing and a member of the national executive of the Institute of Export.
Having sold his interest in a scientific instrument business, Bryan spends much of his time advising would-be exporters and leading government-sponsored trade missions.
Club members' travels take them to such countries as: France and Holland, some of our nearest neighbours; Czech Republic Hungary and Poland in emerging central Europe; Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean; and Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg and Pietermaritsburg, the principal commercial centres of South Africa.
The club meets monthly, usually in the Croydon area, and extends a warm welcome to anyone with an interest in international trade.
It is the ideal environment to try before you buy - a place where you can meet people who have been there and done that and who are happy to share their experiences for your benefit.
